 Subject: Bad Waterpumps?

My Dad has a 97 Dakota with the 5.2 v8 and my best friend has a 98 Dakota with the 3.9 v6 and both had their waterpumps go out at about 70,000 miles. So I was wondering if other Dakota guys had problems with their waterpumps?

I replaced mine on my 93 5.2 at a little over 105,000 miles.

Nope. Never had any problems with mine. As a matter of fact, its one of the few remaining pieces my truck left the factory with. Its actually the original off my 318 thats on my 360 right now.
