Message: I bought a 2005 Dodge Dakota two weeks ago and the passenger club cab door sticks. Anyone else have this problem? It had 37 miles when I bought it!

Message: never heard that one. but do NOT let the dealer tell you "They're all like that." make them fix it right.

Message: i forgot to mention that it could have had some collision repair done to it before you bought it and the dealer wouldn't have to tell you about it. it wouldn't be the first time.

Message: Actually I think it's the way they're made, I was talking to my mechanics son, who worked at acura (had the same owner as our dodge dealership) and he said that the mechanics were talking about how people doors would open because the frame wouldn't latch the hinges right, etc. Crazy, wish he would have told me before. Now i'm reading horror stories about the brakes on the truck. Anything else I should watch out for!

Message: i think your mechanics son is misinformed. like i said, "do NOT let the dealer tell you "They're all like that." that's just their way of getting out of the repair. i guess i have been fortunate and never ever had a dealer try to pass that crap off on me.
all i can tell you is use that warranty as much and as often as you need. i drove a rental '05 QC Dak that was new(25 miles)at the end of last yr and into January this year. put 1500 miles on it in 8 weeks and never had one problem with it.

Message: I'm betting they aren't all like that with rear club cab door problems. Mine's just fine. No brake problems either. Maybe I just got a "Wednesday truck" :)
