Subject: White plugs IP: Logged
Message: Did a tune up on the 5.2l yesterday. All the plug tips on the left side of the block were white. On the right side of the block (in front of the driver) they all looked great. What gives?

Message: White plugs usually means that the plugs are getting too hot from elevated cylinder temperatures. You could be running lean on that bank either by a restricted fuel rail or an intake leak. Certain fuel additives will leave a white residue on spark plugs, but since you say it's only on one bank I'd look into a possible lean condition. A funky O2 sensor can also give a false reading (but well with in spec and no CEL)and cause one bank of cylinders to go lean also.
