Message: No, I was just wanting to replace the filter. You know better gas milage. I haven't changed it since I got the truck (1yr) Figured time to do some maintainence work!

Earlier ones had an external fuel filter on the left frame rail - that's where it is on my '92.

Message: Insufficient and inconsistent fuel flow will be sensed as a lean condition, and the computer will compensate by running the engine richer.
