Subject: Water in Cab? IP: Logged
Message: I was putting my sub wires under the carpet of my Quad cab when I found a lake under my carpet. I remember reading something about this on this site. I could not find anything when I searched but can someone explain to me how this is getting in and how I can fix this. Thanks in advance.

Message: Brandon: there are lots of posts on this subject, but the reason you are getting water on the floor board is prolly condensation drip from the a/c, what usually happens is the drain tube located on the engine side of the firewall close to the middle lower side underneith the distributor cap gets plugged up with debris and traps the condensation drip from the a/c thus filling the a/c heater box with water expelling it onto the passenger side of the floor, i would recommend taking a shaped wire and inserting it inside of the drain tube and trying to clear any debris that you can and hope that it all comes out, i would also recommend trying to clear out the drain tub from underneith the vehicle because it might be alittle hard from the top side.
