WERE'S THE HEMI?
That is the only way I will buy this UGLY P.O.S.!! The '05 Dakota is buy far the ugliest truck on the road. I almost bought an '04 Lightning last week. I've never owned any truck except a Dodge since I was 16 (22 years ago). I may have owned my last!

I agree with about 90% of the people that wrote a response on this...IT IS UGLY!!! Now that's my personal opinion. when I first looked at it, I thought it was ok, but when I saw that the 4X4 looked exactly like the 4X2 I didn't like it. I like a truck, not a cruck. I like it OFF the ground. I think the boxy shape is typical of all the car manufacturers now. I don't know what everyone's thinking, but maybe it fade away soon.
I agree with what someone said about Titan and Tacoma. Chevrolet needs to fire the designers of the new Chevys or they're through. I would not own a brand new Chevy. And lets not get started about HONDA...

I can't write... The Titan and Tacoma ARE the best looking trucks(out of the new truck lineup) on the road.

I just got a walk around on one of these (kinda late, I know, but there just aren't too many here in Germany). I think I could live with the back & sides of it, but dear god, what were they thinking with that front bumper!!! It kinda looks like a big nosed chick I went to high school with; or maybe the one with the tremendous underbite. I've seen smaller fireplace mantles.

Hey,
I just bought a '05 Dakota 4x4 with the 4.7, and the new styling is already starting to grow on me. I hated that they changed the old styling of the Darango & Dakota, but it's got plenty of power, and rides a lot better than the previous generation Dakota. I think their design engineers are all smoking crack, but once you have one for a week, you start to see the coolness in the new design. I thought the last generation of Dakotas were ugly as sin back when they came out, but now they're the best looking truck around......except for the new generation of course.
To each his own I guess.

Let me side swap a Ford on one side and Chevy on the other while running over a Toyota in front of me and that '05 Dak will look a lot better.
