Background:
I recently purchased a new Xtang Soft Tonneau (as I will need quicker access to my bed over the next few months) and am looking to sell my old "hard-top".
Description:
It is a Leer 700 Series Fiberglass Tonneau. It has been painted silver to match the truck. It has a carpeted underside (i.e. the ceiling from within the bed), and has gas struts for ease of use. The bed cover also features a locked handle in the back, which has proved to be a decent theft deterrent.
Condition:
A mark or two under mint condition, but overall perfect. Gas struts are in mint condition, very strong and quick to respond. Paint is perfect, the passenger side rail cover shows signs of a quarter-inch by quarter-inch clear coat chip - but the color is flawless.
I am very meticulous about my vehicles; this has been well maintained and waxed when needed to protect the paint. The cable driven releases could use a good tightening, but I didn't want to do that until it is installed on its new vehicle. Also the passenger side hinge can be sticky at times when reinstalling the cover and will occasionally require a little convincing. I have not taken the time to investigate this and identify if it is a spring, grease, or mechanical issue. Leer did quote me on a new hinge though -> $25.

2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab (Short Bed)... unsure if other years are acceptable... will investigate.

I'm asking $400, it cost me $900 new 2 years ago... the price is negotiable though.
