Just had an idea earlier and wanted to know if anyone had any ideas to back it up or if it's possible. I would like to have my cargo light wired into when i push my unlock button on keyless. So it will light up my bed at night.

well I know my 03 dak cargo light lites up when I hit the unlock button on my key fob. so its possible. just have to know how to do it. in which I do not.

prob need the relay or something that hooks the front lights and the rear to the switch. then run the wires to it. I would think it wouldnt be hard. or just slice the cargo lights to the other lights.

My 97 reg cab does it. I had a Viper alarm installed and asked the installer to do that. I dont know how he did it but it only cost me 10.00 more.

you need to tap the neg wire at the timing module for the courtesy lights it is located at the drivers side kick panel. the same wire that is used for alarm installations. you can find which wire for your truck at bulldogsecurity.com they might make you register, but it is worth the info. Unless someone can look for you with the same year

On my 03 QC it does that along with the interior lights. They stay on for 30seconds and then turn off. Just make sure when you wire it you take into consideration that they need to turn off as well. :)
