I just purchased (about a month ago) an 05 Dodge Dakota, without the towing package. I can't figure out how to wire up a trailer wiring harness to it, moreover, can't find the wire's to hook it up to. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Nick

Go to any RV shop and ask for the wiring kit. It's
a simple unplug tail light plug (left and right)
and plug kit in.

If you need brake control, RV delareships can
help there also...

Very simple!

You would have got the plug with the tow package
plus a plug under the dash for a brake controller
PLUS a tranny cooler. Worth the price.

If you're not gonna pull heavy loads the extra
tranny cooler isn't really needed. If you plan to,
better add one. DC has enough problems with their
junk trannys. Don't give your dealership a excuse
to duct out of a warranty.

Good luck

Thanks for the info, although I have tried to go to local shops to find the wiring. Nobody seems to carry it. I just wasn't sure if it would be the same wiring as my previous truck...(left tail, right tail, etc.) Thanks for the responses all.
