Subject: Rhino Liner IP: Logged
Message: I have not been on this website in about a year, but I am back to ask a question. I have a RhinoLiner sprayed in my 2002 dakota. Like most however it has faded and I was looking for a quick and easy way to restore or change the color of it. My original idea was to get a do it yourself roll on liner and just apply it over the existing RhinoLiner. Do you guys think it would work, and if not do you have any suggestions as to what might. Thanks alot.

Message: i'd be worried about how to prep/clean the Rhino lining to make the roll on stuff adhere good so it won't peel off later down the road. i take Rhino doesn't warranty their coating from fading? maybe you could try some kinda tire cleaner? my '00 truck had line-x in it when i bought it used in '03 and i am pleasantly suprised it hasn't faded any yet.
good luck

Message: I think Rhino makes something like an armour-all that restores the original cover. I just bought a '98 that has a rhino liner but it has a tonneau that has kept it from fading much at all.

Message: Rhino makes a product called "Rhino-Shine" which is supposed to restore the luster to the spay liner. However, my local Rhino Liner dealer advised against it saying that it would peel off the Rhino Liner after a few months. He recommended using the spray on tire detailer sprays. I tried it and it did restore the luster for awhile until it wore off. The fading is one of the main reasons I got a bed liner instead of a spray in liner for '04 Dakota.
