I have a 2001 quad cab when i am going at a slow speed I hear a rattle coming from under the truck when I hit small bumps in the road. I've checked everything it sounds as if it is coming from the rear. The truck has 2200 miles on it. I cranked up the torsion bars four turns but this rattle was coming before that. Any ideas

You have mail - check the heat shelds above exhaust pipes and muffler. Also check heat shield by gas tank.

Had the same little rattle on my new '01 Dakot QC. I traced the sound to one of the heat shields (made of very thin aluminum) on the exhaust system. Turned out a small plastic fastener screw on the shield above the muffler was not securing the heat shield firm enough to prevent a rattle. Put a small spacer in there to tighten her up and all is well now.
