There were 1500 Shelby Dakotas made, only for 1989. 2/3's were red, the rest were white. They were V6 Dakota Sport models with Shelby items added by Carrol Shelby, and engines swapped for 5.2. The tranny was the A500 with some valve body tweaking for firmer shifting. All came with 8 1/4 rear with 3.90 gears and Limited Slip diff. NONE were convertibles. It's either a Shelby that's been made into a droptop, or it's a legit Dakota convertible with Shelby items added by an individual.
