I have a 94 Dodge Dakota, 3.9 5-speed 2WD and I'm putting in a 383 and need to know if it is possible to put a Hurst 4-speed behind it. If so, where can I get the hardware to install it?

What is this, a gag ? You're putting in a 383 but you don't even know that Hurst makes shifters, not transmissions ? If you're serious, you'll need to know you need a tranny with a big block bell housing to fit the 383; and you need to do much more research.

Well, it seems there are quite a few listings for the 833 on the web (but not at parts houses like Summit), but I've never read anything about it, only the 883. Even Keisler lists the 833, but not the 883, which makes me think it's a major typo, but I guess anything is possible.

No need to get in a huff Katie; you're the one who posted the silly post. Keisler may be your best (if expensive) option; I've heard the shifter location on those older mopar manual transmissions doesn't work well with the Daks. Good luck with your project.

You could use a A-833 or a NV-4500 if you want to do some rockcroling.
