Message: I just purchase my Dakota SLT and it came with the security system. When I lock the doors from the inside lock or with the remote and try to unlock using the key the alarm is activated. If I use the remote to unlock it does not set the alarm off. The dealer is telling me this is the way it is and the only way to unlock (using the key) without the alarm activating is to lock the door using the key. This just does not seem right to me. I have a PT Cruiser with an alarm and do not have this same issue. Any comments?

Message: na these fools are to darn lazy to do that.....
either that or they attended a public school and never learned how to read, but that makes no sense as they are able to write and post on here....
didja notice that even after the salesman told him the way it worked (they better know or get out of the business) he had to come on here and ask as if the guy was some kind of lier or something?

Message: The same alarm system is implemented in different vehicle makes (Dodge and Chrysler, for example) in different ways.
Owner actions to arm and disarm will be different. The Body Control and Central Timer Modules have different ways of communicating with the Alarm Module.
Geez.
