Was searching around on KBB.com.. basically my budget is around 9 grand or so.. and KBB.com said that for 9 grandish I could get a 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7l V8 and the manual tranny with roughly 85k miles..

Anyways, few questions.

One. Is that anywhere near true about the price?

Two. How reliable is the engine? How long does it go usually before it turns to crap? 150k? 200k?

Three. Any massive issues that plagued them from 95-2001ish?

I mostly plan to use it for school/work/taking the bikes out into the desert. Occasional towing(maybe once a month or less).

Any other ideas/tips?

4.7 wasn't offered in a Dak until '00; very reliable.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way
