 Subject: funny noise

I just got a 97 dakota 4x4 5.2l. When I start it first thing in the morning it has kind of faint turbo sound like a whistle. It goes away after about 5 minutes. Anybody have a clue

Vacuum leak that closes itself off after heat expansion. Possibly the intake manifold/valley cover?

Is your intake modified?
If you got a CAI or an air filter that sits directly on top of the TB, it could be your the sound of your IAC. Mine has a super loud hiss, especially during the colder months when it has to stay open a lot longer.
