Subject: summer driving--2k 4.7 approaching 100k IP: Logged
Message: My 2000 4.7, 4x4, 5-speed is approaching 100k. I am about to put some serious miles on it later this summer, many of those with a trailer. What maintenance do you reccomend I have done on it?
I have regularly changed oil, flushed differentials, and it has a new set of tires, but that's it. Never flushed the radiator. Never changed the front (or back) brake pads--at 60k my shop told me they still had 3/4 left (I downshift quite a bit). Never changed the plugs or wires, never changed the oxygen sensor.
Which of those items should I do? Is there anything else I ought to think about having done?

Message: since you didn't list anything about your trans fluid, I would assume at least a drain and re-fill could be in order, but realize I am not experienced in the maintenance needs of a manual trans compared to an auto trans. However, your owners manual is.
2002 QC 4x4 Sport Plus, 4.7L, auto, Patriot Blue, Tire & Handling group, Heavy Duty Service group, Leer cap w/out windows, Mopar Step bars and roof rack, Rhino liner in bed and on step bars, Pace Edwards Power Tailgate lock 3.55 rear, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, all possible fluids are AMSOIL
