Subject: Dakota Hiding Spot IP: Logged
Message: Well I have an extended cab 1999 Dakota, and the rear seats lift up to reveal a little storage area underneath. On the back-right side of this storage area near the right side of my truck, there is a little opening in the storage area which goes into a long, narrow area which is a good place to hide things. The problem is, I LOST something in this area. I put it there, and while I was driving it must have moved around to an area that I can't reach. Any ideas on how to get it back?

Message: tie a string around a pot hungry rat and set him loose? ----jk,,,,had to do it.
Have you tried some "extendo-clips"?,,lol,,,those bendy metal picker-uppers w/the little metal teeth you push open on end to grab 'stuff' with? Might work for ya,,,,,,,or jack up one side really HIGH and see if it comes tumbling out.
While on the subject,,,anyone have other good 'hiding' areas they've found on their trucks? I used to have a '98F150 and I had a button activated release for the plastic where the O'crap handle was at. Perfecto for schtuff. The button used the screw-cover piece of plastic and was totally unnoticeable. Ya,,,,hiding stuff is cool.

Message: Anyone else remember the ventilation system in the '60s Mopars with the little door you could open for a breeze by your legs ? Perfect for concealing a beer can if you were pulled over...

Message: My 71 Dart has those vent doors with the lever style handles, not to mention the manual washer fluid pump that amazingly still works.

My truck looks like it was in a knife fight, and lost! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1275365

Message: Hiding spots are great. I love the two in the back of my Durango since i dont have the 3rd seat. its a huge compartment. And ive got a rubber cargo mat that covers that so the 'glorified tax collectors' dont ever look under it.
