Message: Dude, I think you are asking way, way too much for your truck. I believe you when you say it's nice but damn!!! I can get a new one for just a bit more than what you are asking for 3-4 year old ball joint bustin QC.
Not trying to flame you but did you put any research into your price or are you just going by what you see similar vehicles for at a used car dealer? If that's the case they always jack the price by $5-6000 over wholesale cost.

Message: Kelly Blue Book for my truck is $19,840.00 and a brand new truck equipped like mine is $28,000.00 at carsdirect.com so maybe you should do some research. Yah you could get a stripped down dakota for a few thousand more but im comparing apples to apples. Besides what you ask and what you get are two different things, if it doesnt sell after awhile I will lower the price. Oh and as far as dealers go the only Dakota I have seen in my neck of the woods that was even close to mine as far as condition and equipment was $22,500.00 and it had double the miles.

Message: That's how a dealer makes money. They take a truck worth 17k and sell it for 22k.
A truck sold through private sale is never anywhere near what you pay at a dealer because dealers have overhead and warranties, among other things and you can't certify the vehicle yourself.
Good luck, though. I know if it came to buying your truck for what you were asking or a new truck, I'd take the 6 year warranty and redesigned ball joints and brakes, but that's just me.
Some guys like repairing their trucks every weekend. Rots a ruck.

Message: Mine has the extra bumper to bumper warranty until 2007 or 60k in addition to the 7/100 powertrain. Also last I checked KBB was still the defacto standard for private party sale prices and as far as that goes i am pretty darn close.
