Subject: 1992 Blower motor not working, fuse fine IP: Logged
Message: Hi.
I have a 1992 Dakota with the 5.2L V8. Recently the blower motor just stopped working. I don't have the manual anymore that gives the fuse box diagram so I pulled all fuses. All fuses were fine. The A/C compressor clutch still kicks on which allows cold air to flow into the cab from the outside vent but no fan.
Up until then, we had no trouble from it at all except for a blown fuse one time. Surely this blower motor couldn't have went bad just like that...
Any suggestions or ideas of what I can do to check and see whats going on would be great.
Thanks

Message: My '93 has a box on the firewall that is part of the blower cuircut that controls the speed of the blower. It is made up of different size wound wires (like a spring) used as resisters that can burn out like a fuse would. Maybe yours has a similar one.
