if it pukes out or doesnt seem to do anything right ill throw a carb on it and new intake and hope that works, we will see

I wonder how many MPFI systems out there ever got flooded???

I mean it is a type of fuel injection and its more fuel effecent.. Also you I think 44RH might go well with your A-Body Dakota bonehead.

I agree with JayB about the Gen1 Daks but also have to say the Gen4 or D-body rivals that of the A-body's.

Joe C.? Have you ever had a bad O2 sensor or failed MAP sensor? There's your flood.
No matter how tight they wind the plumbing, some things never change.

Well one thing about a carb is when you start going up the grades off-road. Thats what seperate the differnce between the two.

Again, they were hill-climbing long before EFI came along. Granted, an OEM EFI will tolerate off-road action better than the standard-fare street-vehicle carb system, as delivered. However, even the Carter Thermoquad had a special off-road model that was aimed at just what you're talking about. And if you doubt the capability of a properly prepared carbureted system, have you ever heard of, for example, the P-51Mustang? F4U Corsair, and many others. Carbureted, and they handled maneuvers and altitudes unseen in off-road activities. 40,000ft/400 mph/9G's/30 below zero. And these were designed and built in the 1930's and 40's. I'm not trying to say carbs are the Holy Grail, but they're a lot better than most give them credit for.
