Is there any maintenance a person can do to possibly lengthen how long your a/c will give you worry-free use. I know that cleaning the condensor is one way, but any other? Also, does anyone bypass their heater core in the summer for prolonged life since the ones in these trucks last sooooo long.... NOT!

I've found that having a healthy does of compressor lube added to the system adds years to the life of the front seal and inner mechanism.
