probably a difference in the sensor itself. I have a 95 which has a single sensor upstream of the cat.

Yeah I have a 2001 with a 4.7 and Mother Mopar decided that 2 wasn't good enough and put 4 of the damn things in the truck,2 upstream and 2 downstream Also being a heated type the price goes up too! Oh Well it's still better than some repairs it could need ,

If you got the Bosche, what part number did you get? The prices I looked up were closer to $90. The universal types were even less.

I just looked them up on the Advance / Checker Auto Parts website...O.E. Bosch #13712 was $87.99, and the Bosch universal # 15733 was $74.99. Free ship too if gotten from Advance.

Something funny about these prices I double checked Advance and in my zip code the D/S(BOSCH) one is listed at 138$ dollars now, Ones for a V6 are a little lower, Checked the Checker site and in my zip code same price as above 138$ I'm confused !!!! As long as the one from o2 .com fixes it I,m not gonna worry about it.

Found another place www.oxygensenserwholesale.com they have the senser(BOSCH) for 67$ , with pictures to make sure it is correct, I noticed that the black ended ones cost more than the white ones like I have,I think I'll send the one from O2 .com back and get the other one , Hell it's almost a 40 dollar difference and I can always use a little extra dough

Amazing the price differences for different zip codes. What zip are you using? Mine is 85304. I haven't ordered my sensors yet, I think I'll try that website you mentioned.
I found a way to reset the engine MIL without disconnecting the negative battery post...remove the C1 connectior from the PCM for 5 minutes or so. No tools required and no resetting the clock/stereo.

Check out Bosch4less.com. They have the best prices I've seen so far...about $61. If you want the downstream one's, be sure to stick with the white ended ones. The black-ended ones are for upstream.

I'll check that site, Thanks, I did get a senser from Advance last week and for some reason it had the black ended one in a white ended part number box. Brought it back and started this search on here, And at 134$ it was a little pricey, I am at 23462 Virginia and that senser keeps coming up at that price, I've got a code reader and fortunately can clear the codes from the drivers seat,AInt new vehicles fun?

oxygensensorwholesale and bosche4less were within a couple bucks of advance. Free shipping is nice, but odds are i can get the sensor say day or next day with advance without having to fill out an order form.

OBDII is nice, my 95 doesn't have it. Key on, key off, key on, key off.. sounds like the karate kid doesn't it?

Computers are already a pain at work...now they're a pain in my garage. Sure miss my 79 CJ5. How hard are these sensors going to be to get out? I haven't gotten under there to check 'em out yet.

The downstream ones aren't too bad can get by with a regular wrench too! The upstreams are a pain just looking at them,You'll have more trouble getting the connector undone than taking the senser out

I was really surprised that the dealer only charged me $78.09 plus tax for an O2 sensor for my '01 4.7. The heater circuit failed. Part number 56028586-AA.

The $78.09 was just for the part. I wouldn't let them even service my tires! When they were prepping my truck back in '01 they "topped off" the windshield washer reservoir with oil. That was a "sign".

Typical. The last time a dealer worked on my truck they forgot to reconnect the airbag switch and left rags stuffed in my A/C vents.
