Anyone with the 2005 Dakota finding a wet carpet on drivers side. Water is leaking down the firewall behind the parking brake mount. If you run a hose down the cowl lower left of windshield you can see water leaking in. Can't see up enough under dash to see where. Found about 1 inch of water when I pulled the carpet up. Going in to dealer Monday. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem and knows what caused it.

What's this new body type same old leakage problem?
This used to be a big problem in the previous body versions 2000 - 2004 just do search on this site you'll get dozens, if not hundreds, of hits on something like "wet carpet" without the quotation marks.
Previous findings were bad seals in the firewall and also the rear window.
Ask your dealer to search for any TSB's on this problem you can't be the only person with this issue and sadly likely not the last....

On my Gen III, 2001, QC, and many others, it was always the passenger side carpet.

The stealer here found that the condensation that went out the drain tube, would capillary back around the tube, and leak in the cab, mostly all a/c condenstion, they fixed it, thank goodness.

That a bummer to see they are still having issues

2005 Dak, QC 4x4 - haven't experienced any water leaks like you described (or any at all for that matter), yet.

'05 Dakota CC SLT 4x4 - no leaking here. I had a broken clock spring in my steering wheel, that's all so far at ~4K miles.
