Welllll, I got kissed.
I was about 10 cars back waiting at a red light(last car).
Looked in my rear view to see the F150 just as he locked his brakes.
He was going about 50MPH, turned(slid) about 45deg to the left, and
nailed my left taillight and bumper at about 40MPH.
Nobody hurt but lots o' damage. Bed into cab. Think frames OK(hope,hope)
I drove home, Ferd got towed, think he went to jail(suspended license).
I'm sad.......

Someone nailed my truck anonymously last winter - bumper, below left tail light, bed out of alignment. It was over $1600 to fix, but now it's good as new. New bumper, paint job & undercoat. Sure hope your truck is okay.

Its never good when your truck gets hit, huh!!
Thank God the really guy has insurance, just got the call. Police estimated my damage at $2000, his at $3000. Adjuster due this afternoon, we'll see how it goes. Just have to make sure I get quality repairs for this quality truck. I won't be easliy satisfied!!
I will say, tho, Dodge builds a tough Dakota-you can really tell in a situation like this.

That sucks man. I have gotten hit 3 times in my truck. Once from the side, form the back, and in the front. It sucks, though I have to say I am impressed with the strength of Dodge Dakotas.

Police estimate was a little off.
Adjuster's initial estimate $4519.00, wrote me a check on the spot w/rental voucher.
I can get repairs started immediately.
Whew!!, this ain't no fun but I guess it could be a lot worse.

Whew is right... thank goodness for insurance huh? But, as you said it could've been worse, at least you're okay and your dak will live!
