 Subject: Fans

I was cleaning my engine bay out today and noticed that my truck appears to have two fans (2001 CC 4x4 3.9L 5-speed). There is the clutch fan and when I looked inside the fan shroud, I noticed what appeared to be a electric one, anyone care to give me some more info on this

Not much to say other than yes there is 2 fans. The secondary one only comes on when the temps get high which seems to be never. Many people including myself have removed the clutch fan to gain a few HP and are running the electric only.

Can't say that they all work like my 00,3.9,auto, but the electric comes on when the a/c is on. Pretty great cause I work out of mine and I sit and idle alot with the a/c running. I also have a 180 thermostat and it never gets as hot as it did before.
