Can anyone tell me when a 2003 dodge sx sorta skips when it idles at stops is this normal?
Wife just got the car,has 33000 km on it.Runs great,but at times it idles rough when comming to a stop.The salesman said this is normal and should only worry if the car stalls then bring it in.Warrenty covers it bumper to bumper,but was wondering if theres a problem. Thanks anyone 4 info on this.

When you say skips do you see the revs drop then rise again on the tac or is this felt through the "seat of the pants"?
I've got an '04 Quad SXT Sport w/16000 miles and I've never had an engine problem but I do get a vibration about every 5 seconds when I'm stopped.

Find a 5 Star dealer in your area get a second opinion.
I'm on my 2nd Dak, 2001 CC and now the 2004 Quad, neither v-8 has ever misfired on me and I tend to drive through ever water puddle I can find at as fast a speed as I can safely negotiate the lake.

Are you talking about a Dakota? Or something like a Neon?
4 cylinders are KNOWN to be a little rough here and there at a stop. A/C clutch going in and off, electric fan starting, loading the alternator, etc.
Definitely a little more likely to feel those things on a 4 cylinder than on a 8.
