after switching from 3923's to 5224's i noticed no loss of horse power but definatley gained 1.5mpg. i have a 2001 3.9L auto V-6 Dakota. i have done searches on this topic and found 2000 and later dakotas dont benefit from 3923's. anybody else have similar experiences?

I have used the 3923's a time or two - these plugs work good when first installed but fade away quick. When I pulled the 3923 for inspection a month after installing them, they were wet looking - not tan. I have since been using the NKG's and they last a whole lot longer and are tan when I check them. I can also see a difference on my air/fuel guage - a bit richer with the 3923 - and no difference in pinging than with the NKG's hotter spark.
By the way - I have a supercharger - MSD - the list goes on) - and NGK's are far better.

I've just replaced my stock plugs to 5224's @ .040 and noticed a slight improvement in mileage. The only negative impact is the truck now stumbles more when cold. This on a 00 4.7
