Biggest thing is what kinda engine? V6 will do better than V8...in most cases I've read some posts where ppl were getting about the same as the V8's. Can't really answer the question cuz I have a '00. I get about 16.5 in the city and 24 on HWY. Dunno if that helps but good luck.

I have a 95 SLT CC 4x4 with 3.9L auto. I get 17.5 - 25 MPG depending on city, combined, highway and speed.

people that get the same mileage with a v6 as the v8, is because they have a heavy ass foot. and some v8 guys lay off it, so it gets close.

My 92 318 gets a little better milage than my 89 3.9 v-6 , But!! ( and this makes the differance ) the 318 is 2 wheel drive and the 3.9 is a 4x4. Also I live in the mountians, and the 318 doesn't require pushing the gas pedal as far down to go over the mountians as the 3.9

Highway driving from Atlanta Georgia to Raleigh North Carolina at speeds up to 90, averaging around 85 I got 20.5 MPG. See a more detailed post on the V6 boards .. happy with gas milage.

I have a 93 2WD automatic - club cab - with a topper and some tools - I do alot of driving and average 16.5 on the interstate (65 - 70) and 14 mpg in town.
