Subject: Door removal IP: Logged
Message: I got in an accident a while ago, and today I finally got the check from the lady's insurance company. So I went and picked up a used door and need to get it on.
Seems like I can't figure out an easy way to get the old one off of the truck, though. I need to just get the pins out, but hitting them doesn't seem to be working. Any help on the topic would be great. It's a 93.

Message: If you are trying to remove the doors by taking out the pins did you try placing a jack underneath the door in order to relieve the pressure put on the pin by the door? You can also have someone lift it up while you try and remove the pins.
If that still fails try removing the hinge bolts that are attached to the truck so you can work and try to get the pins out that way (if your new door doesn't have them.)
Just remember to scribe around the hinges on the truck so you line up the new door correctly.

Message: We got it. The rod we had on the pin (because a hammer wouldn't reach) was slipping and we didn't realize it was doing it as much as it was. We got something else and then it went.
