Subject: RE: Door Ajar Chime Removal IP: Logged
Message: It might not be for the door to be open
while driving my sensor is going and while
im driving at night my intior lights will
flash like mad because it keeps saying soor
ajar its not good and i cant replace the
sensor or relay or what ever os wrong so
could someone please tell me if there is a
fuse to pull or something that will stop
this until i can get a relay

Message: Behind the kick-panel, next to the drivers left
foot is the circuit board containing the chime.
You need to remove the step trim to remove the
kick panel. They both click into metal clips and
come off and go back on easily, with no aged &
brittle plastic to break. Remove the 3 screws
holding the case that the circuit board is in and
the board slides right out. Unplug the 3 plugs
(all different-you can't mess up plugging them
back in) and the chime is the round, black object
with a hole in the middle. I simply filled the
hole up with super glue repeatedly, letting it set
up between fills. It has not chimed since.
