Was there ever a fix found? I just bought a 98
Dodge Dakota 3.5l v6 and the damn alarm went off
and now it won't start. I was able to get it to
start and run for a second but then it chockes and
dies. Really frustrated I just bought this truck
and only drove it once!

I am a dumb woman that understands most nothing here but I have a question or two. Number1... What does PCM stand for and what is it. And 2...If you put a new battery in the keychain thingy, does that disable it? my truck was running the battery down when turned off. Every time we charge the battery it did something different. First the headlights flashed, then the lights kept coming on across the dash, then the tail lights stayed on, then it wouldn't come out of park, ect. Any ideas?
