Subject: Bosch +4s to 3923-as promised IP: Logged
Message: I just pulled out my Bosch +4s and replaced them with Autolite 3923s. So far, This is what I've noticed; The truck started up more eagerly than what I was getting with the +4s. The truck was happier to be on. Before, when I started the truck cold, it seemed to turn a little bit nore to start. When it did start, it idled rough for about 30 seconds and then started to smooth out. With the Autolites, it started up and was smooth from the start. I can't say that I've noticed the truck to be faster, but a little smoother. My conclusion is this. Those +4s are supposed to last longer, but it seemed that my truck wasn't running quite as well as when I first put them in. If they cause the truck to run rougher after only 1 year, I'd rather spend 0.99 a plug than $5 a plug. I can't really say the +4s were horrible, but they weren't any better than any other plug I've used. I wouldn't buy them again. I'm no expert by any means, thats just my opinion.

Message: Manuel,
What engine do you have? I pulled the +4's out of my 4.7 after one month due to rough idle. The RPM's seemed to fluctate more in stop and go traffic also.

Message: I've got the 5.2 magnum. I did notice that it smoothed out a little when I first put the +4s in. The 3923s smoothed it out better, I think (it was about a year ago, and it was due for plugs). I don't think that for $5 a plug, I shouldn't have seen it idle and start that much better.
