 Subject: rusting hood

I have a 2000 sport.
Has anyone else had the hood rust on the side along the edge? It began on the inside of the outer panel and doesn't seem to be on the inner panel. I also have rust that started where the windshield weatherstrip cut into the top of the roof. Of course Dodge wont stand behind there 5 year UNLIMITED mileage paint warrenty because according to corprate I had "too many miles" for them to cover it with 80,000 miles on it.

What color is the truck. Just curious. As for Dodge not standing behind their warranty, I got the same treatment with my 02 Caravan. It's bright silver metallic, rusting along the front fender to hood gap and along the tailgate bottom. Dodge said, "It has to rust right through before we'll fix it".
It's being traded for a Rav4 as type this.

I had my hood on my '00 Dak 4x4 rust in the same area, dealer replaced the whole hood with a brand new one under waranty 165,000km at the time

I have the same problem with my red 97 Dak. Just on the driver side near the front, planning on stripping it down to fix it, whole truck getting repainted.
