It sounds a bit over engineered. I am no expert I do not know what I am talking about more than half the time, but my cat is a knock-off muff with a dual wall stainless magna-flow tip coming out in the origonal place and it sounds great. It seems to really rumble at 2000 rpm and seems to drop after that. I set off alarms but only when I am trying too. It was louder new, but when the carbon builds up a bit it really mellowed it out but still sounds good. 02 qc 4.7 slt dak auto
