Have 2000 QC. Alarm system driving me nuts, very sensitive. Anyone know how to disable? Does it have its own circuit breaker or fuse?

The fuse does not cause it to go off.
It can keep the alarm from working at all, if it is burnt, or improperly placed.
I`m not sure if it`s fuse has other functions besides the alarm. Check the truck manual.
Good luck.

There should be a shock sensor somewhere which determines the sensitivity. It's *usually* located under the drivers side dash but doesn't have to be. Maybe you can follow the wiring from the alarm light back to it.

You can adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor - on my 98 it is a black retangular box maybe 2" x 1.5" if my memory serves me correctly. Open the box and inside are 4 or 5 dip switches. Each switch controls a different function of the alarm system. The problem is I don't remember which switch does what. You should be able to do a search and find the codes etc to set the dip switches and customise the alarm to your preferences.
