Message: Have 2000 QC. Alarm system driving me nuts, very sensitive. Anyone know how to disable? Does it have its own circuit breaker or fuse?

Message: The fuse does not cause it to go off.
It can keep the alarm from working at all, if it is burnt, or improperly placed.
I`m not sure if it`s fuse has other functions besides the alarm. Check the truck manual.
Good luck.

Message: There should be a shock sensor somewhere which determines the sensitivity. It's *usually* located under the drivers side dash but doesn't have to be. Maybe you can follow the wiring from the alarm light back to it.

Message: You can adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor - on my 98 it is a black retangular box maybe 2" x 1.5" if my memory serves me correctly. Open the box and inside are 4 or 5 dip switches. Each switch controls a different function of the alarm system. The problem is I don't remember which switch does what. You should be able to do a search and find the codes etc to set the dip switches and customise the alarm to your preferences.
