have to have your motor cold. so the cleaner dont spot your heads. just spray it down with what you mentioned. let it set for a fewmin but make sure it downt dry. then while hosing it off becareful around the electrical boxes and vacum hoses. I cleaned my fords engine plenty of times and no prob. first time I did it. I was like please let it start please let it start lol. just dont drown your engine. lot of people use pressure washers but again be careful around certain engine componets. you should be fine.

I agree. Simple Green and a strong water jey are the way to go. Avoid spraying directly on to the electrical components - like the computer. A little water certainly won't hurt them, they are made for it. But a direct spray with a pressure hose will force water in where it shouldn't be. I usually stuff a rag down the intake, and cover with a plastic grocery bag. Again, a little bit of water won't hurt; like a small trickle or a few drops.

If you have a dizzy, cover it with a plastic bag and tape it up.
