 Subject: Monroe Reflex Shocks

I just purchased a set of Monroe reflex Shocks for the front of my 04 QC. The shocks have no boot over the extension rod. Monroe says none is available. Will these shocks be ok without the boot?

they'll be ok like that. i thought the same when i installed them on my '00 QC. i've had them on for a year now. besides, don't they come with a lifetime warranty?

I also have them and never had any trouble w/out the boot. They do have a lifetime warranty. IMO, there are no better shocks for the road!

I just installed them on my 03 QC and love them. Were you able to get in on the $20 rebate? I think it ended at the end of April. If you bought them before this go to Monroe's website and download the rebate form.

I had them put on my 2001 QC 4x4 in May of 2003.
Not only a huge improvement on road ,flat cornering, but they smooth out gravel roads very well too.

PWB-You said that you purchased them for the front. If you haven't already, I'd suggest putting a pair on the back as well--on my QC the rear ones were a far more noticeable difference over stock than the front ones were. And, like the previous posters, I really like mine, too!

I've have them on my '01 QuadCab 4X4 for the couple years and love them.
Like SR said rear is where they made a great difference. I have them on all four.
