Subject: TRUE cold air ? IP: Logged
Message: is it a dumb idea to put an intercooler on a naturally aspired engine? it just seems that this way you could make true cold air for relativly cheap. they sell really small ones on ebay for under 100 dollars

Message: Your truck is sucking air at the ambient temp, so cooling it with an intercooler which cools at the ambient temp will not do any good.
NOW,,, if you have supercharger or turbo which compresses the air and heats up the air in the process,,, you will see a benefit from an intercooler.
Do you have a supercharger or turbo?
