I've heard numerous concerns about the brakes on our Dakotas! To me, the solution is to lift your baby at least 3 inches and have a good, sturdy push-bar on the front, then let the OTHER guy worry about YOUR brakes! Most people will give way to HEIGHT and perceived "BULK" because they DO realize you'll be coming through their side windows! (It's more psychological because glass gives way REAL easy and their side door beams are too low for a raised truck!) I used to own a 4X4 Ramcharger and it sure seemed NOBODY dared to pull out in front of me or cut me off for some reason! Can this be categorized as "defensive driving"?

Good point greybeard. Maybe it should be referred to as "offensive" driving instead.
