A few months ago I bought a 2004 quad cab. It was owned by a business and had 39000 miles. I got it for a reasonable price from a Dodge dealer.
It runs good and gets about 20mpg on the hwy and 15 mpg in the city. I have noticed a growling/grinding noise which sounds like it is coming from the left front wheel. It is louder when I turn or brake. I pulled the wheel and looked at the brake pads through the hole in the caliper and they look ok. Any ideas on this?
Also I think I need heavy duty shocks because sometimes I notice wheel bounce when I hit a bump in the road. Any ideas on what is a good shock for this truck? Also the operator's manual states
to change the rear end oil every 12000 miles.
Is this necessary?
I needed a truck with more room to replace my 94
Nissan. My Nissan had 212000 miles on it and the only thing I had to do to it was replace the water
pump at 200000 miles. I hope I can get good service from this Dakota
