Subject: Fog light issues IP: Logged
Message: How do you know if your fuses under the hood are bad or not. I have a 99 dakota 5.2 and 5 speed. Both the fog lights aren't working. I assume that like on headlights if one is bad the other will work fine. Both fog lights don't work and the switch on my dash doesn't light up; like it is supposed to when I pull on it to engage the fog lights. Anyone here have a similar problem?

Message: test the fuses with a fuse tester or multimeter. It's faily obvious if a fuse is blown when you look at it. I picked up a fuse kit ($10) some years ago at pepboys, it had fuses from 3.5A - 40A and came with a tester (no need to pull them to test or visually inspect). I've been using it ever since.
I'm assuming you have factory fog lights?

Message: Hey buddy go get a new head light switch thing...
I had the same problem with the fogs, it was a faulty switch. Real simple to change out, just pop off the trim ring and take out a couple screws, unhook the connections and viola!!!
