Message: well pretty much my question is how do you flush mount speakers or in this case subs. the thing is that i dont have a router. can i take it to home depot or some place like that and get them to do it or is there another way?
its either that or buy 1/2 and 1/4 mdf and cut the hole in the 1/4 mdf bigger and glue it on top. assuming that they have 1/2 and 1/4 mdf.
i would much rather have sumone with a router do it. kinda sux when you dont have the rite tools.

Message: Go to lowes and get one of the GMC routers. While not the top-of-the-line that delta, porter cable, bosche, etc are, it's still a great router. I picked mine up for around $70. Picked up some great bearing bits on sale too. 30 day guarantee and 2 year warranty. It has 1/2 and 1/4 collets. I also have other GMC power tools and all have performed flawlessly thus far.
You can also rent routers from many tool rental places.
You can also try doing it the old fashioned way, chisel and sanding.

Message: nah ill leave out the chisel on this one. ill end up messing it up more by doing that. renting a router isnt such a bad idea. anyone know how much it might be? do they charge by the day? im guessing i would still have to buy the bit?
its kinda easier to just buy two pieces and glue them together. they would also be screwed together once i mounted it into the truck.
