Message: Hello, i am trying to remove my heater box from my truck so i can replace my evaporator, i aleady have my dash off and all the nuts off from the inside of the engine compartment, what i need to know is how you remove the a/c lines from the evaporator that lead to the accumulator, do you need a special tool or something, i discharged my a/c and removed my accumulator but i cannot get those 2 lines to come off of the evaporator, also is there any easy way to remove the heater core inlet and outlet hoses without cutting or wrecking the hoses, you cannot get any tools in there to twist them off and i am having a biotch of a time trying to do so, any advise would be great as i am so close but so far away from completing the job.

Message: Good day buckjim! you need a special tool called an a/c fuel connector tool to slip over the lines and free the connection, you could prolly maciver some sort of thing but i think that tool is only like a couple of bucks at napa, as far as the heater core line your prolly just gonna have to just keep pulling on them and twisting them until they come off or you could cut them, but you proll would have to replace the whole lines.
