I have a '04 Dakota SXT 4x4. I want to switch to a 285/
75R16 tire. has anyone tried a tire this size on a stock
dakota? will they fit and not rub?

That is a 33" tire, will not fit without a lift.
You can run a 265/75-16, thats about 32" of tire and it will fit. You may want to crank teh t-bars up a little with these though.

can you fit 33's? i have an 04 4x4 club cab and was also wondering how big of a tire i can mount at the factory ride height. it looks like there is plenty of room in the wells. i was thinking about putting 31 or 33" thornbirds on it......
