The leak detection pump is used to pressurize the fuel tank and then check for vapour leaks as part of the engine startup routine. Most problems arise from a loose of corroded gas cap.
The only part I could find was a solinoid valve($31) which is part of the pump. Probably have to go to the dealer if you need the whole thing.

Fuel pressure gage will do this. Install gage in line, start the truck. Turn ignition off and read the gage. Read the gage over intervals.
