Subject: Access thru the firewall IP: Logged
Message: On my 99 Dakota c/c, is there an additional grommet or access hole in the firewall to pass wires/cables from the engine bay to the inside of the cab? I've used up the one by the brake booster. Theres no more room to pass heavy cable for a 12 volt distribution block inside the cab.
Your thoughts, comments, bashings, suggestions, flames, opinions are encouraged. Thanks in advance.

Message: I've been passing all my wires through the rubber boot for the speedo cable. Pull the cable / boot into the cab slit the bottom side, push it back out, then simply poke the wires through the slit into the engine compartment.

Message: I have had several years of Dakotas and have never
had a problem finding a rubber grommet for passing
wires through. I use a ice pick to punch a small
hole in one that is already used for something
else or one that has been never used.
