I had my '99 Dakota in for Service about 2 months ago (for transmission work) and the dealer broke the Valet Button for the EVS Security System. I can no longer prevent the alarm system from automatically activating after 2 minutes. The dealer told me they can't do anything to fix it since they cannot find the part.
Does anybody know where I can get a parts list for the alarm system? I can find the wiring kit, but it does not include the Valet button. From what I can find the only way to get the Valet button is to purchase the complete alarm system.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Anyone know of a junkyard that may have a dakota with an EVS system installed?

My 98 has the same system. The valet switch has 2 wires I believe, and I think it is a "momentary switch". I would try Radio Shack or some place simular. They have a ton of little switches etc, might not be too hard to find something that will do the job.
