Well I absoultly love my dakota. I just bought an 02 with the 4.7 about 3 months ago. It is roomier then s-10 and has more power. But have you looked in to the new Colorado? The s-10 is history after this year. If they put the in line 6, your looking at 270hp. That is enough to make that little truck a match for any other small size truck out there.

hey man. i owned chevy's for years..... even a 98 s10, beat the shi* out of it and it was perfect,,,,,,BUT nothing will ever compare to the dakota's in most classes even full size for that matter. if u want that look of the eccessive bodypanels with pinner tires like that extreme has, go for it(mine wasn't bad nor good.
take a look at my ride, I KNOW U'LL GO FOR A DODGE. it's changed my mind on that whole chevy thing. there like a**holes, everyone has one and they stink........Like they say
DODGE=DIFFERENT. good luck though. hope u make the right choice. i do agree get the extended cab either way.
