Subject: New Tires on 2WD IP: Logged
Message: I am buying tires this week to put on my 2WD 02 Dak. I want a wider look than the 215/75R15 that are on it now. I already have a set of 15" factory alloys so I have to stick with that. I don't want a lower ride but I don't want much higher either. Any suggestions? I saw some BF's on DiscountTire.com that look ok. My limit for all 4 tires is around $350.
Thanks

Message: Good luck trying to find a good set of tires installed for 350 that is wider and taller than the stock tires, unless you hit a really good sale, i bought a set of wild country's from les schwab for 570 installed wich are perfect on the stock 15's no rubbing or anything but don't take my word for it, shop around you might get lucky.

Message: KJS,
What size did you go with? You must have a 4X4 if you went with a wild country.

Message: I replaced the factory tires on my last Ram with Yokohama's (don't rememebr the exact model). They make GREAT tires that rode smoother and quieter than the stocks and they were CHEAP! BTW...Discount Tire matched the lowest online price I could find AND installed them free. (Balance was extra though)

Message: I got a set of Bridgestone Dueler APT3's on mine...
Mine are 235/70-16's...which I guess you'd be needing 235/75-15. I like em a lot. Got em for $98/tire prolly around 6 months ago so I'm sure they're prolly a bit cheaper now...plus all you gotta do is shop around.

Message: I would suggest yokohama geolandar, i have 255/65-16, but they would work just as well on 15's. probably the best affordable tires i have ever put on my truck. The're like 89 bucks through tirerack

Message: I, like 99 Dakspt, am using 255/60/15 Pirelli Scorpion at the front,But, besides being a good looking tire, it makes way too much noise.
It feels like you rideing w/ off road tires.
This is just my findings about Pirelli scorpion. Peace.
